Adoozie, Inc. was formed in Alton, Illinois in 2006 when the founder/inventor, Bill Becoat, offered to do a favor for a neighbor by replacing a roof on her garage. The beginning of the job required the removal of the old shingles. Mr. Becoat began using the traditional shingle removing shovel on the roof finding it to be the back breaking, labor intensive work that it is. After a period of effort he stopped and told his fellow workers that there had to be an easier way and he had an idea. Later that day he retired to his "laboratory" and went to work. What emerged was his first power shingle stripper. He knew it had to be light, strong, durable and designed in a way that it took the difficulty out of the job. Most importantly, it had to be able to do the job better than the traditional method, an improvement. When he finally showed how well it worked to co-workers he commented, "It's a little doozie isn't it?" The name stuck and A Doozie, Inc was born.

After over a year of lab and field testing and refining, the power shingle remover tool is ready for the market. Wherever there is a roof that needs to be replaced, the Lil Doozie can have a productive role and the job can be performed better than ever before!
